Handmade tortillas, warm from the comal, and artisan breads baked each morning the old way. Come sit with us.
Dos Espigas Tortillería & Bakery was born from a simple conviction: that the best tortillas and breads are made slowly, by hand, with ingredients you can trust. Our name — "Two Ears of Corn" — honors the two foundations of everything we do: corn and community.
Every day, our kitchen opens before dawn. The nixtamal is ground, the masa is rested, and the comal is heated. By the time you walk through our door, the smell of fresh tortillas and warm bread is already waiting for you — just like it has for years in this Houston neighborhood.
Every item is prepared by hand, using traditional methods passed down through generations.
Soft, warm tortillas made from stone-ground nixtamal corn. Available in white, blue, and specialty varieties — pressed and cooked fresh throughout the day.
Cuban bread, conchas, cuernos, and seasonal specialties — each loaf shaped by hand and baked to a golden finish in our traditional oven.
Tamales, sopes, gorditas, and more — prepared daily using family recipes. Ask about our rotating selection of seasonal and holiday items.
Start your morning with a freshly brewed café de olla or an atole. We serve traditional Mexican beverages alongside our baked goods.
Hosting an event? We accept advance orders for tortillas, bread, and specialty items — perfect for gatherings, celebrations, and family meals.
No preservatives, no shortcuts. Just real ingredients, traditional techniques, and the kind of care that shows in every bite.
The rhythm of our kitchen — early mornings, skilled hands, and the smell of fresh bread filling the air.
